Last week I presented at the 2024 SQL Day conference in Wrocław, Poland. It's now my 4th time at the event and always a favourite in the year. Wrocław is such a beautiful city to visit and as a speaker you get trophies for you contribution.
This year (on Monday 13th May) I had the privilege and pleasure of collaborating with the awesome James Serra on a data architecture workshop, in celebration of James' new book: Deciphering Data Architectures.
It was great to combine our knowledge and experience from the data industry covering theory vs practice, what/why/how and concepts vs the technology available. As well as some ad-hoc whiteboarding on specific problems faced by delegates building cloud bases solutions.
Then on Wednesday 15th May, I delivered my own session in the huge conference venue auditorium. Building an Azure Data Analytics Platform - End to End. Having ~200 attendees in the session both online and in person was a huge buzz. Sharing knowledge on such a stage is truly the best part of my job.
If you attended, feel free to grab a copy of my slides from our Community Content page here.
Also feel free to grab a follow up slot in my calendar using the button below if I/we can support your data platform projects.
Many thanks for reading.
